Variety reports that Morgan Freeman is set to join the cast of Ted 2. Sources say the Freeman will be playing an iconic civil rights lawyer who will help Ted to resolve some legal issues.
Freeman has always been a firm running gag in Seth MacFarlane's animated shows, and it's good to see him take on a role that might just be a lot of fun for him.

Majority of the original cast is set to return including Mark Wahlberg along with the supporting cast. Amanda Seyfried has been reported to be the sequel's new leading lady for the R-Rated comedy. Seyfried was also the lead for A Million Ways to Die in the West, which was also directed and starring Mcfarlane. Plot details for ted 2 is still under wraps, but it's expected that the film will have numerous pop culture references and A-list celebrity cameos.

Ted debuted back in 2012 and was well-received by fans and critics. It also grossed $549 million worldwide and $218 million domestically. Talks of a sequel immediately came after its success. Many have suggested that the success was because of Seth MacFarlane's fan base from his animated shows, as well as his very specific humor.
