Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice News, Spoilers, and Updates: First Official Look at the New Batmobile
With the internet full of leaked photos from the set of Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, we've been given some not so good views of the new Batmobile. Director Zack Snyder probably just got tired of people leaking unflattering pictures of the new Batmobile, so he took to twitter and posted a really good look at it.
"Here's a real picture of the #Batmobile," tweeted Snyder along with the picture.
Back in May, Snyder also tweeted a picture of the Batmobile covered with a cloth only revealing a bit of the backside of the caped crusader's choice of mode of transportation. Now we've seen the Batmobile in its full glory.
The new Batmobile has drawn some comparisons to the videogame version found in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight, but to be fair it does strike a remarkable resemblance. The new Batmobile for the upcoming film has two turrets up front, while the one in the videogame has one farther back and on top. The cockpit's located in the midsection of the Batmobile, and due to some leaked photos has revealed that it opens upwards and splits up into two sections. The armored flaps gives it its signature 'bat' look. Overall it looks sleek, formidable, and stealthy. I also like the small yellow headlights on the front wheels, which kind of reminds me of the Tim Burton Batmobile. Many have voiced their opinions on how Christopher Nolan's take on Batman's Batmobile in his Dark Knight Trilogy looks more like a Lamborghini armored tank, rather than a batmobile, but in retrospect it did work well for his Trilogy. It's nice to see a new variation for Batman V. Superman and give it its own 'attitude.'
Now that we've seen what it looks like, when can we see this baby in action?
Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons, and Jesse Eisenberg. It's scheduled to be released on March 25, 2016.
