Lakers Rumors and News: On Recruiting Kevin Durant, Goran Dragic or Eric Bledsoe, Updates on Xavier Henry, Coach Scott's Staff et al

The Lakers Basketball team will have an interesting year this 2014 based on the amount of news and rumors circling about them.

Lakers News Update

According to Lakers Nation, Xavier Henry who had a one year contract with the LA Lakers team may be unable to fully join this year's training camp.

In an LA Daily news interview, LA Lakers Head Coach Bryan Scott said that Henry "might be limited in training camp." The reason for his limited training is probably due to his left wrist and right knee which is still recovering from surgery.

Coach Scott added, "I haven't seen him do much on the court. It's going to be close on if he's ready for camp."

Mark Medina from LA Daily News tweeted the names of the five people who will fill Coach Bryan Scott's coaching staff. According to the tweet, they are Jim Eyen, Paul Pressey, Mark Madsen, Larry Lewis and Thomas Scott.

LA Lakers Rumors

A Lakers rumor that has yet to be confirmed is about the attempt to recruit either Goran Dragic or Eric Bledsoe. Both of them are from the Phoenix Suns and by next summer will be free from their contracts with the Sun. Marc Stein from ESPN wrote on his blog, "The Lakers...would likely make a hard run for both of them, based on the premise that the Suns couldn't afford the cost of paying both at that point, theoretically making either Bledsoe or Dragic gettable."

Another unconfirmed rumor about a possible new addition to the LA Lakers is Boston Celtics Rajon Rondo. Besides the LA Lakers, Rondo is also rumored to possibly joined Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks. Kevin Durant, the reigning MVP is also rumored to join the LA Lakers once he becomes a free agent in 2016.
