Android 4.4.4 Kitkat Galaxy S5: You'll have to wait some more. Expected Release Date: Unknown.
The Android 4.4.4 Kitkat for Galaxy S5 is one of the most popular updates awaited by people in recent times, though an obscure version of the 4.4.4 Kitkat is now available on Galaxy S3. Even so, to the disappointment of some, not all Android compatible smartphones will get the update. Only the Samsung Galaxy series is set to get the innovation but not many are yet to upgrade, including the S5. However, other smartphones in the S5 species like Active and Sprint have already got the 4.4.4 Kitkat.
Though it is taking some time, there is reason enough to believe the updates will roll out soon, at least in the United States. Sprint's avatar of the Galaxy S5 is featured on Samsung's website. It has the latest features of Kitkat, which means that the new 4.4.4 is under testing. Given that carriers usually release newer version after the international upgrade, there is no reason that the OTA update cannot be available on Samsung's flagship smartphone. before long
The 4.4.3 and the 4.4.4 Kitkat upgrades first rolled out in June 2014, but both were meant to troubleshoot the bugs that were prevalent in the 4.4.2 version of Kitkat. Most of the Android smartphone producers had prioritized the delivery of these fixes to customers who vitally needed it, but for some reason Samsung has been trailing behind in the updates. Though the updates will eventually be delivered to all Android smartphones, but users are facing issues considering the length of time it has taken to get the first upgrades.
Interestingly, the 4.4.4 Kitkat might be the last update for Android phones because the latest Android L will soon be out in the market. Some high-end smartphones, including the newer Galaxy lined will also upgrade their new OS.
