Grimm Season 4 News: The Un-Grimmed Grimm Goes Against New Octopus-Headed Wesen
Grimm Season 4 episode 1 as well as episode 2 will introduce a new kind of Wesen called the Gedachtnis Esser who has the identity of stealing powers and who is "really frightening and very cool, almost a James Bond kind of thing going on there," says writer and executive co-producer Greenwalt In an interview with Zap2it. Since Grimm Season 4 episode 2 is already known to be entitled "Octopus Head," the new Wesen will likely be some kind of octopus-like creature. Grimm Season 4 will air on October 24, 2014, at its 9 PM Friday time slot on NBC and it will be entitled "Thanks for the Memories." The premiere episode is directed by Norberto Barba from a screenplay written by executive co-producers Jim Kouf and Greenwalt.
Although the official Grimm Season 4 episode guide is still not available, there is already much Grimm Season 4 news and spoilers that have been shared and spread around since the previous month's San Diego Comic-Con by the executive producers and cast themselves. In the Zap2it interview, Greenwalt revealed that Season 4 will be picking up "one minute after" the Season 3 finale.
In the season 3 finale, one of the last scenes shows Captain Renard getting shot in the chest several times by Weston Steward, causing him to be taken to the hospital apparently dying. Sasha Roiz, who plays the Captain, said, "I kind of saw it coming, so it's not a huge surprise. I think we'll try to find some interesting way to bring him back. We'll see what happens."
Nick will be starting Season 4 with no powers. Juliette will is still mad at him for having allowed himself to be tricked by Adalind into sleeping with her. Trubel will be staying awhile to serve as Nick's Grimm eyes. David Giuntoli who plays Nick tells TV Guide, "Trubel is now my eye-seeing Grimm. I would hope I get the powers back on some level, but domestic life is much easier when I'm not having to kill monsters."
Monroe and Rosalind will likely be on the run for their honeymoon after having been exposed as Wesens who have been harboring a Grimm. Silas Weir Mitchell who portrays Monroe in the show tells TV Guide, "We try and make a honeymoon but things are complicated in Portland these days...The Grimm has been un-Grimmed... things are turned upside-down. We are exposed now as Wesen harboring this Grimm. We put ourselves on the line with this wedding... and Rosalee's worst nightmare came true with the Red Wedding sequel."
