True Detective Season 2 Cast, Premiere Date, Filming, Plot, Location, Rumors, Reports And Latest Updates: Upcoming Season Expected To Have Two Directors With New Characters Expected To Debut
We have the latest for you on the cast, premiere date, filming, plot, location, rumors, reports and latest updates of True Detective Season 2. HBO's detective drama "True Detective" is coming back to screens for another season: True Detective season 2. Fans will be surprised by the new characters, new plots and settings. Reports claim that the new season will be totally new from what was seen last season.
From announcement by the HBO director in August that the season True Detective will be coming back to screen "soon" and after months of speculations we are now able to know something about what to expect in the new sequel: True Detective season 2.
The season is expected to have new directors, according to Screenrant, "the series will follow true anthology formula steering away from narrative that was used in the previous season." Nic Pizzalotto confirmed rumors through Buzzfeed that there were no plans of working with one director. "We don't have any plans to work with one director again. It would be impossible to do post while we're still filming, like any other show. There are some great guys I've consulted, and we're all confident we can achieve the same consistency," he said.
Pizzolatto is mulling over a lesser-known town in California to be the location for shooting the new season. He also said that filming in Los Angeles was already off the list. In his statement he said he was looking for the certain "psychosphere ambiance" similar to last season's location.
New characters are expected to debut in this new season who are expected to make up the plot for this new season. According to reports, Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch play a leading role in the new season although, the two have not confirmed if they want to take up the leading roles or not. Elisabeth Moss, an actress is also in talks to take up the leading female role. Vince Vaughn is in talks with the production team about playing the major villain in next season or take up the fourth leading role. All we can do is wait and see what the new actors and actresses decide and hope that the new season will be a success.
The head of programming at HBO revealed that the second season of True Detective filming is scheduled for this month.
