Vampire Diaries Season 6 Release date, Reveals, Spoilers and Reveals: Themes of Less, Denial Explored after Loss of Bonnie and Damon
The Vampire Diaries is going to return for the sixth installment on 6th of October this year. According to the latest rumors on the synopsis of the sixth installment, the premiere episode is going to feature a time jump from the current setting to a couple of months later following the devastating tragedy. Trust CW to build on the suspense created on the finale of the fifth season. Apparently, Damon and Bonnie are dead after project Kaboom and everything will take on a somber mood for the time being of course. Rumors claim that Stefan will play a major role in the first few episodes of the new installment. As such, he is going to leave Mystic Falls to begin somewhere else.
The deaths of Bonnie and Damon are the main reason why Stefan is going to leave Mystic Falls. Paul Wesley revealed at the recently concluded Comic Con, that Stefan's character will not be seen with the rest of the cast as they try to deal with their losses the best they can. The synopsis teasers state that everyone will be dealing with the loss of the loved ones in different ways, some of them more destructive than others. There is a promo video out for the sixth season and it shows Jeremy drinking alone in the woods, while Elena is resorting to witchcraft like drugs in order to induce hallucinations of Damon. It seems like the group is falling apart due to mass grief about the loss of those close to them. However, the community is coming up with a watch program in order to safeguard from the return of supernatural beings. They obviously do not know the whole story so beings like Elena need to watch their backs, as the makings of a paranoid Salem like scene may be coming.
It seems that Elena will be deeply affected by the loss of Damon and will seek the help of her former flame, Stefan in dealing with what has happened. Could they get back together? I guess we shall have to wait and see.
