Game Of Thrones Season 5 Spoilers, Casting, Start Date, Filming, Reports And Rumors: Cersei Lannister Nude Scene Granted Permission By The Local Film Commission Of Dubrovnik
We have the latest news for you on the spoilers, casting, start date, filming, reports and rumors of Game of Thrones season 5. The 'Game of Thrones' production was earlier denied the rights to film a scene where Cersei would be shamed and will play nude at some point. For the followers of 'Game of Thrones', it could interest you to know that the production team has been given the go-ahead to film the 5th season. The fans of A Song Of Ice and Fire will be glad to know that the controversial scene is officially back on. The City of Dubrovnik, Croatia, has officially granted Lena Headly the permission to continue with the filming.
Although the 'Game of Thrones' showrunners do not need to be showing women fully naked as objects of sexual fixation, the upcoming season absolutely needs it. It was initially reported by TMZ that the local film commissioner in Dubrovnik would not grant production the permission to shoot the scene, which is very controversial, where Cersei would walk out of the church into the streets of Kings Landing. The reason behind this is because the church of St. Nicholas has very rigid laws regarding the expression of sexuality, as they are against public nudity.
The film commissioners, however, have changed their minds and have granted permission required for the scene to take place. With this, Lena will be allowed to walk the streets of Dubrovnik in the buff, but the production will have to construct a set for the church, as per TMZ. This is not a bad compromise after all.
As for the spoilers, it is expected that Cersei will be taken down a few notches in a scene where she is both figuratively and literally naked. Cersei has never been seen without biting wit and flowing robes, and this scene will not be an exception. This is a very interesting character moment which was almost denied by the city of Dubrovnik. Entertainment weekly reports that the scene in question will be filmed in approximately a month from now.
This is good news for the fans and for the production teams also. We only need to wait till the upcoming season has been released and see how it pulls through. We will keep you updated on more information on this.
