True Detective Season 2 Cast, Premiere, Rumors, Plot, Spoilers And Filming: Filming Of The Second Season Of True Detective To Begin In September
We have the latest news for you on the cast, premiere, rumors, plot, spoilers and filming of True Detective season 2. Fans have been waiting for the second season of the True Detective series. Critics agree that it will definitely be hard to top the first season considering the fact that it was able to bag copious Emmy nominations for its series. There hasn't been an official announcement yet that confirms the exact release date for the second season of "True Detective" however fans are already expecting and craving for a more enticing season and cast.
Apparently the first story details have been revealed and it tells of a plot that is both confusing and intriguing. This is according to "The Wrap".
The summary of the second season reads,
"True Detective' will follow the death of Ben Caspar, the corrupt city manager of a fictional California city who's found brutally murdered and a potentially groundbreaking transportation deal that would forever change the freeway gridlock in the state. Three law enforcement officers from different cities and branches of the government are tasked with finding out who did it. They soon discover their investigation has much broader and darker implications than they initially thought."
The show's creator Nic Pizzolatto has however refused to verify on the mentioned plot line saying that it was a "work in progress" and that if he talked about what he's doing he loses the urge to do it. This he told a Hollywood Reporter through an interview.
HBO Programming Head Mike Lombardo however, revealed more information while at the Guardian International Television Festival in Edinburgh where he is quoted saying that the production of the series will start in September so that it can be aired next summer as scheduled. He also hinted that the new series will have its own story, setting, time period and cast too.
"It has different characters, a different setting. It's set in California, all of California. There are three cops. One of the characters is female. I think that's probably all I'm allowed to say," said the HBO official.
Well, it is not yet clear when the second season will be released however, reports claim that the series will be back on air in January 2015.
