"Downton Abbey" has released a new trailer teaser for their upcoming Season 5 and there appears to be many twists for fans to look forward to.
Lady Mary Crawley (Michelle Dockery) is drawn to Lord Gillingham (Tom Cullen), Tom Branson (Allen Leech) has a new love interest and the Countess of Grantham (Elizabeth McGovern) could be making a connection with newcomer, Simon Bricker (Richard E. Grant).
Season 5 will also feature guest star additions of Richard E. Grant and Anna Chancellor.
Interesting news has come out that "Downton Abbey" Season 5 has been doing some filming at Alnwick Castle, which was Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Harry Potter movies. The majority of Season 5 has already been filmed, so It is believed that the scenes being shot could be for their Christmas special.
Alnwick Castle, is the stately seat of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, but to movie fans around the world is better known as Harry Potter's Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the film based off of J.K. Rowling's books.
Alnwick's official Web site alerts potential visitors that "various areas of Alnwick Castle will be closed or have limited access on 28th July - 8th August (inclusive), due to the filming of a major ITV period drama."
A statement from The Duke of Northumberland also released a statement to the local newspaper saying: "As we know from experience, filming somewhere like Alnwick Castle can be very disruptive, but when we received ITV's enquiry, my wife and I felt that we could not miss the opportunity for the castle and town to be associated with such a hugely popular drama series, and we consider it a great honour to be asked to participate."
"Downton Abbey" Season 5 has received an official release date from PBS. The U.S. premiere of Season 5 will air on Sunday night, January 4th, so all fans of the show can mark their calendars for it.
"Downton Abbey" is a British drama television series created by Julian Fellowes and co-produced by Carnival Films and Masterpiece. It first aired in the United Kingdom and Ireland in September 2010 and was picked up on PBS in the United States in January 2011 as part of the Masterpiece Classic anthology. The series won a Golden Globe Award for Best Miniseries or Television Film and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Miniseries or Movie.
