'Sons of Anarchy' Star Charlie Hunnam to Play King Arthur in New Guy Ritchie Movie
"Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam is set to play the role of King Arthur in the upcoming movie from director Guy Ritchie. Other castings to play alongside Hunnam are rumored to be Elizabeth Olsen for the female lead and Idris Elba to "play a Merlin-esque figure who trains and mentors Arthur."
Hunnam looks to have beaten out Henry Cavill (Superman) and Jai Courtney for the role of King Arthur. The upcoming movie has a release date scheduled for July 22, 2016.
This Warner Bros. project is is planned to include six movies from Joby Harold. Harold wrote the first script and Akiva Goldsman is producing through Weed Road with Harold and Tory Tunnell through Safehouse Pictures, and Ritchie's partner Lionel Wigram. If this pans out, this could keep Hunnam as a top tier movie star for the next decade and beyond.
FX announced that the premiere for the final season of "Sons of Anarchy" will premiere on Tuesday night, September 9th, at 10/9c.
"Sons of Anarchy" Season 7 keeps the new castings coming. We already know that Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love will be making appearances in the upcoming final season and now we learn that Malcolm Jamal-Warner ("The Cosby Show") will be joining the cast as well for at least two episodes.
"Sons of Anarchy" is a motorcycle drama from creator Kurt Sutter starring Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, Theo Rossi, Jimmy Smits, Drea de Matteo, Peter Weller, Niko Nicotera, David LaBrava, Mark Boone Jr., Kim Coates and Tommy Flanagan.
