Fans are eagerly awaiting for the start of the 'Orange is the New Black' Season 3. The show is produced by Netflix and its becoming a serious contender over other network produced shows.

Netflix has announced that Orange is the New Black season 3 release date is probably going to be in June or July of next year.

The show garnered a lot of nominations from the Daytime Emmy Awards. The nominations included the Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy.
Additional characters, some old and some new will be included in the upcoming Orange is the New Black Season 3.
Orange is the New Black Season 3: Laura Prepon
Former The 70's Show star Laura Prepon first made her appearance in Season 2 but she did not appear regularly. Orange is the New Black Season 3 rumors of her becoming part of the regular cast are true.
The Christian Post reported an April Daily Beast interview with her. Miss Prepon cited conflict in her schedule is the primary reason she could not make a regular appearance in Season 2.
In an Orange is the New Black Season 3 interview posted at YouTube, Miss Prepon said that she will now make a regular appearance. She told TV Guide, "Yes definitely, I'm really excited because I miss everybody so much during Season 2."
Aside from Miss Prepon, two new actresses are rumored to join the show's third season. Blair Brown of Fringe and Mary Steenburgen are set to appear in season 3 although their role in the show is yet been confirmed.

The show was created by Jenji Kohan and was aired on Netflix in 2013. The show is based on the memoirs of Piper Kerman. The memoirs talked about her life while she was in prison. The title of the memoir is Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Woman's Prison.
The story is about a New York bisexual woman Piper Chapman who is serving time in prison for working as a drug mule. The role of Piper Chapman is played by Taylor Schilling. Laura Prepon plays the role Alex Vause, Piper's former girlfriend and fellow inmate. Vause was the one who told the court of Piper's involvement with the drug syndicate.
