The Conjuring Release Date, Reveals, Spoilers and Review: Lawsuit against Marvel Studios by Evergreen Media Studios
Apparently New Line Cinema has already asked for Lorraine Warren's authorization for the second film and they got it as the first film was quite a box office hit. The Conjuring 2 has gotten a new title and it is the Enfield protagonist. After much debate about the leaked script and so forth, it seems that the release date for the horror flick has been slated for October 23rd next year. This is especially fitting for the movie because it will be during the Halloween season. According to the latest reports, the script is going to be written by Chad and Carey Hayes as they world with Lorraine Warren in order to make the movie as realistic as possible.
However, the audience and the media are going to demand for a more frightening and more intense than even the first installment of the movie. The same reports also claim that Vera Farmiga, as well as Patrick Wilson will be returning as part of the cast. There are reports about a spin off film. This is going to be about a single mom in London whose children are being troubled by a supernatural doll called Annabelle.
The sequel to the original movie has seen a lot of drama especially after reports of a stolen script or leaked screenplay. The original first installment of the film was quite successful and debuted in 2013 and garnered over 300 million dollars at the box office. Now it seems that it almost never went into production reason being, there was a lawsuit filed against Warner Bros which alleged that they were unable to compensate Evergreen Media Studios which is the company through which the contents of Ed and Lorraine Warren's case files were licensed for usage in the Conjuring. According to the latest rumors, it seems that the dispute is yet to be settled but it still seems that Warner Bros still plans to go full steam ahead with both films lawsuit still pending at this time.
