Pitch Perfect 2 Trailer, Cast, Release Date, Pentatonix News, Plot, Songs And Filming: Penn Masala An All-Male A Cappella Group To Make An Appearance In The Second Sequel Of Pitch Perfect
We have great news for the fans of the Pitch Perfect 2 movie on its trailer, cast, release date, Pentatonix news, plot, songs and filming. Penn Masala will be making an appearance in the second sequel of Pitch Perfect. Penn Masala is an a cappella group which consists of males only. They are well known for their exceptional singing skills. They are now moving to the biggest stage ever; Hollywood. "Pitch Perfect 2" has hand-picked Penn Masala to make a cameo appearance in the movie.
The a cappella group will play the role of musical rivals to the main stars of the movie, Barden Bellas. This must be a great honor for the group. Daily Pennsylvanian says that the group is the "only collegiate a cappella group in the movie." Penn Masala is one of the only two real-world singing groups in the movie, next to Pentatonix. "Pitch Perfect" is a movie that revolves around Anna Kendrick's character, Beca. She studies at Barden University and makes thing interesting for the all-girl a cappella music group. At the end of the movie, Beca and her team won the singing championship, despite the tight competition. In the upcoming sequel, the Barden Bellas will presumably be trying to win another championship.
Dilip Rajan, the president of Penn Masala said, "We all flew into Baton Rouge for a week this summer, where we filmed by night mostly and hung out by day. The members of Penn Masala do not have any scripted lines in the movie." He also said that the fans should expect a "combination of English and Hindi music." However, he did not confirm the songs that the group will be singing in the movie. He said that the group will perform "in a different way than our usual style."
"Right now, we're just grateful for the incredible opportunity we had. The impact on our group remains to be seen, but we're hoping that our family, friends and fans enjoy our performance in "Pitch Perfect 2" when it comes out next May," Rajan said. Apart from having a cameo in the film, the group will also receive a Barden University banner with autographs from the entire cast. The "Pitch Perfect 2" is expected to hit theatres in May 2015.
