The Dead Island 2 is actually the sequel of the 2011's Dead Island as well as the 2013's Dead Island: Riptide. The Dead Island 2 will be launched next year, preferably during the spring time. This is according to the publisher Deep Silver at the Sony's E3 conference. Dead Island 2 is has been developed by the Yager Development, the same developer of 2012's Spec Ops: The Line.
Below is a news press release of the publisher Deep Silver. They described the setup of Dead Island 2.
"Several months after the events on Banoi, the United States military has put the Golden State under full quarantine. Now a restricted zone, California has become a bloody paradise for those who refuse to leave their homes and an action-packed playground for renegades who seek adventure, glory and a fresh start. Combining the classic Dead Island elements of immersive close combat, action and role-playing, Dead Island 2 features crazy, never-before-seen handcrafted weapons and over-the-top characters in taking players from the iconic Golden Gate to the celebrated beachfront boardwalk of southern California''s Venice Beach."
Dead 2 is developed with the Unreal Engine 4 bringing back the acclaimed and seamless multiplayer up to eight players who are together cooperating, competing, and coexisting in true social as well new generation multiplayer experience. The developers and the rest of the team behind all these are all excited to release the exclusive content as well as the exclusive beta of Dead Island 2 which is available with the Playstation 4 only.
