‘Game of Thrones' Season 5 Spoilers: Cersei's Public Walk of Shame, Tyrion After Killing His Father, New Path for Sansa
Book fans of George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy series of novels are most probably confused to the events that will unfold in the highly-anticipated "Game of Thrones" Season 5 that will premiere next year. It's that common dilemma when books become adapted into movies or television series. Fans expect that the show would remain faithful to the original material, but that's not always the case and "Game of Thrones" is no exception.
With the HBO series further deviating from the books, it becomes more unpredictable as fans; specially those who read the books can no longer know what to expect in the series. That means a lot of surprises are in store for them. Season 5 will be based on Martin's "A Dance with Dragons."
Rumors say that Lena Headey is game to take the challenge of Cersei Lannister's naked and public walk of shame, after being incarcerated by the High Sparrow from her failed plan to frame Margaery Tyrell. However, producers are having problems with the film commission in Dubrovnik, Croatia; as public nudity is prohibited in the city.
Meanwhile, Sophie Turner reveals that her character Sansa Stark might take a different direction for season 5. She says, she stopped reading the books and would just focus on the script, because the storyline is further deviating from the book. In season 5, Sansa will continue to work with Littlefinger after her Aunt Lysa's death. According to her, there are also a lot of plots and characters that didn't make it to season 5.
At the end of season 4, Tyrion Lannister shot his father dead, escaped death and left King's Landing. But what will happen to him now? According to the book, it will show Tyrion in his quest for allegiance with assistance from Lord Varys. He will then meet the Magister of Pentos after escaping in a ship. Tyrion could also find the Khaleesi, who will then assist him to regain the Iron Throne.
Let's wait and see for more updates, as filming has already begun.
