Former 007 Pierce Brosnan Back as a Spy in Action Thriller ‘November Man'
Pierce Brosnan is as charming and lovely as ever in his new role in the action-thriller "November Man" that marks his comeback in the spy game as Peter Devereaux, codenamed The November Man. He is a ex-CIA who's brought out of a retirement for a last mission.
It's been quite some time since audiences and fans have seen the Irish actor as Britain's famous and alarmingly charming spy James Bond since the last one he did for the Bond franchise back in 2002 with "Die Another Day." Brosnan was given the "license to kill" in four James Bond movies such as, "Golden Eye" in 1995, "Tomorrow Never Dies" in 1997, "The World Is Not Enough" in 1999 and "Die Another Day" in 2002.
The actor recently discussed in an interview that he's always had that desire to play James Bond for a little longer. He added that he's still up to the action game and revealed how he had to work hard to get in shape with beer, wine, work out, and tennis. He also mentioned how he likes being an ambassador to a small country. His co-star Olga Kurylenko calls him "lovely and charming" and that he's very approachable and unintimidating.
Well this time, even though he's no longer James Bond on screen; we'd still get to see him kick some ass with all exciting car chases, beautiful women, blackmail and traitors in a breathtaking adventure of an ex-CIA who must protect a witness; and comes face to face with his CIA protege who now makes him a target for holding an important information about the Chechen War that could damage the CIA.
"The November Man" is based on the novel "There Are No Spies" by Bill Granger, which is the seventh installment in "The November Man" book series that was released in 1987. The film was shot in Belgrade and is co-produced by Brosnan, with director Roger Donaldson who he previously worked in "Dante's Peak."
The film is out in cinemas August 27 and also stars Luke Bracey, Olga Kurylenko, Eliza Taylor and more.
