PS4 Firmware Release Date, Reveals, Rumors and Plot: 2.0 Firmware Announced at Gamescom Event, While PS4 sales Continue to Soar

The latest firmware update for PS4 is likely going to be the 2.0 which was outlined at the Gamescom conference that took place recently in the German city of Cologne. One of the major features that will be made available with the firmware 2.0 are options about friends and especially those that share the same interests. The biggest feature that comes with the update is Shareplay. This is a way for the player and their friends to play the same game no matter which location each of them are, virtually that is. That means if a person is in front of a PS4, then their friends can share the same game cooperatively and competitively without both of them having to actually own the game.

A good example of the feature usage is jumping into a game in order to assist a friend. If there is part of the game that the person cannot quite finish at the time, then they c an invite a friend to take over the controls. It is like handing over the controls to your friend on the couch. As such, your screen will be shared as your friend finishes up with the part of the game that has been trouble in the first place.

In light if this, Play station 4 has been quite a sensation with its rise up the charts. It has sold about 10 million units reportedly since the time of launch. It is reported that even the executives do not even know themselves why PS4 is selling so well even after when some versions like the White PS3 are yet to be released. Shuhei Yoshida who is the president of Sony Worldwide Studios stated that there have been analysis on the console and how it is performing so well. Apparently, there is  not one appropriate reason why the console is doing so well, as the current top ten titles for the platform are also available on the other major consoles.
