Game of Thrones Season 5 Start Date, Spoilers, Casting, Filming, Reports And Rumors: Shooting Of Game Of Thrones Season 5 Hits A Snag As Filming Of Major Nude Scene Blocked By Croatian Church
We have the latest news for you on the start date, spoilers, casting, filming, reports and rumors of Game of Thrones Season 5. The production of Game of Thrones season 5 already started and now it seems like it has hit a snag. The popular HBO series has been reportedly blocked from filming a nude scene in the Croatian capital of Dubrovnik.
What follows is quite a spoiler for those who have not read the books. In a dance with dragons, the writer, George R.R. Martin's most recent book of his epic, A Song of Ice and Fire, Cersei Lannister gets thrown in prison and has to walk naked through King's Landing as penance when she is released. TMZ has reported that the local film commission has not given any permission for the nude scene to be shot in the capital and especially next to the Dubrovnik Cathedral since the church has a rigid policy against public display of sexuality.
The film commission will not give the Game of Thrones producers a permit, taking their cue from the church and the producers are not ready to back down either. According to Metro, a source revealed that the show bosses cannot cut the scene as it is very crucial to the story line and it is also an iconic moment from the book.
Meanwhile, the filming of the fifth season of 'Game of Thrones' is under way and the onset reports give the fans a clue of what to expect from the much awaited for season. The rumored filming locations in Spain were linked to the Westeros region of Dorne, and the 'Game of Thrones' crew confirmed all those casting related rumors at Comic-Con International 2014 in San Diego.
In 'A Dance with Dragons', Cersei finally gets her comeuppance. She became queen regent following Tywin Lannister's death, and she rules King's Landing with a fist. First, she limits the power of the Tyrells in the city, angers the Iron Bank and sets up some schemes like establishing a new royal fleet and resurrecting the High Septon's Faith Militant.
