Starcraft II Hints, Cheats and Updates: An Introduction to Terran Technology
Starcraft II released date for Wings of Liberty was July 27, 2010 and Heart of the Swarm was March 12, 2013. There has been no Starcraft II update on the release of the third installment - Legacy of the Void.
In Starcraft II, The Terrans do not have the physical attributes of the Zerg or the psionic abilities of the Protoss. But they do have the technology to meet these alien two races head on. Meet some of new Terran units:
Repears - First introduced, in Wings of Liberty, they specialized in hit-and-run attacks since they have jet packs that enable them jump in and out of harm's way.
Marauder - Designed to replace the Firebats from Starcraft I. Marauders are armed with grenade launchers and provide support to other infantry units, particularly the marines.
M.U.L.E. - The Mobile Utility Lunar Excavator was never intended to replace the SCV but instead help them gather minerals. The MULE ceases to function once its batteries run out.
Thor - This mechanical walker is the second most powerful siege weapon in the Terran arsenal.
Viking - This Terran unit can transform itself to a fighter air craft or as an assault walker.
Hellion - This fast attack vehicle replaced the Vulture but has the flamethrower capabilities of the Firebat.
Hellbat - This is another Terran unit that can transform from a wheel vehicle to a walker with flamethrowers as its primary weapon.
These are just some of the unit available for Terran players. To see some of these units in action, you could watch this Starcraft II video:
The Starcraft II platform is available for the Windows PC and OS X.
