History Channel's Vikings Season 3, the final season for the show is currently busy with filming its most epic episodes yet in the history of the show. While we fans wait for it to be on air on Summer 2015, allow us to provide you with the latest gossips, news and other things you need to know about this upcoming season.

First off, Alexander Ludwig who plays the role of Bjorn had confirmed that the next season is definitely grittier than the former. Katherine Winnick, the actress behind the fierce Lagertha agreed with Ludwig's statement and said that more excitement is coming our way. As a matter of fact, they even have shield maiden practicing martial arts to be able to hold a sword properly to be part of the background actors.

When we asked about the character that is soon to bid farewell, their lips are mum. They gave us a clue though; the actor who plays the role was not present during the pop convention's panel. Hence, we have narrowed it down to Ludwig (gulp), Winnick, Standen, and Travis Fimmel. Kevin Durand joined in the torture as he said that he will be joining Vikings last season and that his role might have something to do with the death of that favorite character.

Pressing on the subject, Durand told interviewers that Michael Hirst, the creator of this loved franchise has created a mysterious wanderer character for him, he can either be a wreak havoc or a poet. Either way, he will make impact on the show's storyline.
