Agents of Shield 2 Release Date, Reveals and Rumors: Adrianne Palicki to Star as Mockingbird in the Second Installment
The second installment of agents of shield is coming to your screen by September 23rd this year. When we last left off, we found that agent Coulson was coming back to rebuild SHIELD as an organization with the help of agent May and most probably Fury from the sidelines. However, we have gotten reports that comic book super hero; the Mocking bird is coming to the screen in the next installment. As such, Adrianne Palicki from Friday night lights has been cast for the role. This is not the first time that she has worked with DC, but this will be the first time that she will play a Marvel Superhero with opportunities to get cast into the marvel avenger installments in the future.
She has done a few stints in the past in a superhero role including season 3 of Smallville where she guest starred as a Kryptonian vessel programmed to be Super girl. She also starred as Wonder woman in a failed plot by NBC pilot. Sources suggest that she will play the role of a Romanov style, world class spy, hence the reverence to her title as one class with Hawkeye and Black widow. It is said that her first appearance in the season will be in episode five where she will reportedly clash with director Coulson. In the comic books, she was supposed to clash with the security director, Hawkeye and eventually develops an on screen romance. She was then made a recruit of the west coast branch of the avengers.
The movies are quite different because on-screen the personas of Hawkeye and Romanov are quite isolated preferring to work by themselves as freelancers. That would lead us to believe that Coulson in the same position and possible chemistry on screen with Mockingbird may lead to a romance between the two. After all, they are both within the same environment with no time for anything else in their lives. However, if it follows the same path of the comics that would mean that it will not end well.
