Natalie Grant, New Album On The Way, Tweets That She Has Decided To Do It 'Old Nashville Style'
After the release of her extremely successful recent single, 'Hurricane,' Natalie Grant continues to work on her upcoming album and she has decided to go old-school. She plans to release her new album in Fall, 2013.
On June 6, Grant tweeted, "So excited. We're recording a track for the record today. Everything will be LIVE. Mistakes and all. Raw & real... And we're doing it old Nashville style. All in the room at the same time. And I might be super happy there's some banjo happening."
The new album will feature Trevor Morgan, Jason Hoard and Josh Robinson, Grant suggested on Twitter. Morgan is an acoustic rock and roll musician, Hoard is a musician with background in bluegrass music and electric guitar, and Robinson is a drummer. All three musicians are located in the Tennessee area.
This will be Grant's first album release in a couple of years. Her last album was a 2010 release called, 'Love Revolution,' which features well-known songs like 'Greatness of Our God,' and 'Human.'
She was recently nominated for Female Artist of the Year at the K-Love Fan Awards. She has also been chosen as GMA Female Vocalist of the Year from 2006-2009 and was the top-selling Adult Contemporary female solo artist in 2005, 2006 and 2008, according to her website. She received RIAA Gold certification with her 2005 breakthrough album, 'Awaken' and her following album, 'Relentless,' has sold a significant number of copies since it was released in 2008. With all of her music, Grant has managed to maintain a formidable foothold in mainstream media and radio, particularly with the release of her most recent single, 'Hurricane,' which hit No.1 on iTunes earlier this week.
In addition to writing music, Grant is a wife and a mother of three daughters in Nashville, Tennessee. She also began an organization called, 'The Home Foundation,' in 2005, which has raised over a quarter of a million dollars in order to fight sex trafficking of women and children. "When we live the love of the Gospel out loud, a revolution will occur," she said, according to her website. "So listen with your heart open wide, it just might start a love revolution."
