True Detective Season 2 Premiere, Cast, Plot And Spoilers: True Detective Season 2 To Have A Completely New Storyline And A New Set Of Cast
We have the latest news for you on the premiere, cast, plot and spoilers of True Detective Season 2. The "True Detective" season 2 is rumored to have a completely new storyline and a new set of cast. HBO has not confirmed any rumors about the casting, but this will not stop the speculations about which actors and actresses will be featured in the show.
Nic Pizzolatto, the show creator, said that for the season 2, there will be two lead actors and one lead actress. There is a rumor that Elizabeth Moss might be the lead actress in the second season. In a past interview that she was engaged in by USA Today, she was asked whether the rumor was true and she said, "Not in the way everyone is talking about, honestly. I had to ask my own people, "Have you not told me something?" for me as an actor who has been in the business for over 25 years; it's so flattering to be associated with this show. And for anyone to think I could be part of the show."
Evidently, Moss neither denied nor confirmed the rumors, so there could be a chance that she has already been approached for the role in the show already. Other actors who are rumored to be part of the show include Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Gerald Butler, Jessica Chastain and Brad Pitt. According to The Wrap, the new storyline for the 2nd season may be: "'True Detective' will follow the death of a corrupt city manager of a fictional California city who was found brutally murdered in the middle of a potentially groundbreaking transportation deal which would forever change freeway gridlock in the state. The government tasks three law enforcement officers from different cities and branches of the government on finding out who did it. They soon discover that their investigation has much broader and darker implications than they initially thought."
It is rumored that Vaughn will play the main antagonist for the new season. Farrell is said to be the lead protagonist and Taylor Kitsch might play the young investigator by the name Paul Woodrugh. The release date of the upcoming season has not yet been confirmed as the script for season 2 is still being polished up and HBO is already looking for a couple of directors for multiple episodes. Though, rumor has it that the premiere will be in early 2015.
