"Christian Mingle The Movie" Starring Lacey Chabert Opens Oct 10; Watch Trailer Here
"Christian Mingle The Movie," a romantic comedy with threads of Christian themes interwoven, will open in theaters on October 10, 2014. The movie will star "Party of Five's" Lacey Chabert, Jonathan Patrick Moore, Morgan Fairchild, John O'Hurley, Stephen Tobolowsky, and David Keith. It will be directed by "LA Law's" Corbin Bernsen,
The story of the movie revolves around Chabert who plays Gwyneth Hayden, a non-Christian woman who pretends to be a Christian in order to find love on the popular Christian website. As a result, she meets Paul Wood (played by Jonathan Patrick Moore), a devout Christian man who might become a potential love interest for the young lady.
"One of my first jobs is to let everyone know that this is a pure, straight up romantic comedy, and NOT an ad or paid promotional piece for Christian Mingle.com - the popular dating website," wrote Corbin Bernsen on his Facebook page on August 8. He added, "They have been incredible partners and friends in allowing us to use their name and play an integral role in the film, but one of the first rumors I want you to help me dispel is that this is a commercial for them."
"Sometimes it's hard jumping from conversations like our last one -discussing a world in turmoil - to the great pride and joy I have in sharing CHRISTIAN MINGLE THE MOVIE with you...," wrote Bernsen.
"You all have been so supportive over the last couple years - from my mom's passing, to Psych and movies that I've been writing and directing in between. So it's with great delight that I share with you our latest work from Home Theater Films ... 'Christian Mingle The Movie,'" he concluded.
