Jason Gray, 'Nothing Is Wasted', Reaches No. 1 On Christian Soft AC Charts
Jason Gray, Christian musician, has had an exciting couple of weeks with his new single, 'Nothing Is Wasted' reaching No. 1 on the Christian Soft AC charts this week and receiving a record-breaking 21 radio adds for street week.
'Nothing is Wasted,' is Gray's first No. 1 single and it has received a great deal of support from fans, according to FamilyChristian.com. However, Gray won two ASCAP Performance Awards in 2011 and 2012, after four of his previous radio singles hit Top 5 on the AC charts, according to Centricity Music.
"Wow! That's all I can say," Gray exclaimed, according toFamily Christian. "Of all my songs, the one I most look forward to singing is 'Nothing Is Wasted' because I know there's always someone in the audience who needs to hear it-someone who longs to be assured that loss, pain, and even failure do not get to have the last say. God, the One who holds all our stories and works all things together for the good of those who love Him, has the last say and His final word is love. I daily get notes from people telling me how this song found them when they needed it most. I'm so grateful for the support radio has given this single and that it's finding its mark in the hearts of so many people."
On May 30, Jason Gray tweeted a photo of his song at the top of the chart listings and wrote, "I just got this in an email from my label, and I still can't believe it... So grateful . Okay, I'll stop posting about it. Immodest, I know... (but still, yusssssss)"
The new single has been added on a record-breaking 21 radio stations including K-LOVE Radio Network, FISH in Los Angeles, California, New Life Media in Chicago, Illinois, KTIS in Minneapolis, Minnesota, KJHY in St. Louis, Missouri, WQME in Indianapolis, Indiana, and WHPZ in South Bend, Indiana, according to Centricity Music. "We all go through stuff and have to wonder WHY? The good news is that God can use whatever mess we're in for something good in the end. We forget that, but this song is an awesome reminder of God's love and grace in any situation," said Greg Cassidy, Music Director of KJHY in St. Louis Missouri.
'Nothing is Wasted' appears on the 'Nothing is Wasted' EP as well as on Gray's most recent album, 'A Way To See in the Dark,' which has recently climbed to # 50 on Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart, according to Centricity Music. Gray will be recording his fourth album for Centricity in late spring and it is expected to be released later on this year. He recently finished the very popular Storytellers Tour alongside Andrew Peterson, which boasted six sold-out performances, and he is also set to tour with Steven Curtis Chapman and Laura Story this fall.
