Transformers 5 Breaking News: Michael Bay Not Going to be Hands on in the latest Transformers Movie
Looks like things will be different for the upcoming Transformers 5 movie as director Michael Bay won't be handling it as USA Today reports that he was ready to hand in the reins off to another director. Though the deal is not final yet, Bay shares that he was to create movies of other genres, explore new directions and take new approaches in movie making. Bay is reported to be currently working on a TV project entitled Black Sails, to be aired on Starz, and The Last Ship, airing on TNT. He also shares that he will be working on a documentary concerning elephant poaching.
The Transformers 5 has been green lit for release at the second quarter of 2017, though some reports say that it will be out by 2017. Furthermore, not only it will continue the story of Transformers: Age of Extinction, it will also be introducing new characters and will be exploring character backgrounds and origins. But of course, knowing Michael Bay, he would be handing over the responsibilities to someone who can keep up with what he has started.
Though the Transformers franchise had given Bay his big break and has worked on it for the past seven years, he has also produced and directed other movies such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Purge: Anarchy and Pain & Gain, Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Amityville Horror, Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elmstreet. Though heavily criticized by critics, he is widely known for his works due to the realistic special effects he uses.
