Lauren Daigle Urges the Church to “Tell the Truth” in Powerful Dove Awards Address

Multi-Grammy Award-winning artist Lauren Daigle delivered a stirring and uncompromising message to the Church during her appearance at the 65th Annual GMA Dove Awards, challenging believers to embrace truth, compassion, and authenticity in a world marked by comfort and complacency.
Following her performance of "Let It Be a Hallelujah"-a song co-written in 2019 and revisited this year in memory of her late producer and friend-Daigle exhorted Christians to "get ready and tell the truth."
"Don't shy away from the truth," Daigle told the audience. "The truth is hard, but the truth delivered in love is amazing."
Speaking from the heart, the Louisiana native contrasted the growing persecution of believers around the world with what she described as a culture of "luxury Christianity" in places where faith is often practiced without cost or consequence.
"We have luxury Christianity over here," she said. "There are brothers and sisters losing their lives for the gospel in places like Nigeria, and yet we sometimes forget what really matters. If our focus is misplaced, we need to sort it out before it's too late."
Daigle's remarks drew wide attention for their passionate call to spiritual awakening and courage. Her message resonated deeply with attendees and viewers alike, emphasizing the importance of proclaiming truth with grace, preparing hearts for difficult times, and returning to the core of the gospel.
Known for her chart-topping hits and soulful vocals, Daigle continues to use her platform to inspire faith, unity, and conviction among believers. Her performance at the Dove Awards and her challenge to the Church underscored her long-standing commitment to using music and message as a vehicle for hope and honesty.
