American Idol Winner Jamal Roberts Inks $13.5M Netflix Deal Following Chart-Topping Gospel Hit

Fresh from his history-making win on American Idol, Mississippi native Jamal Roberts has signed a groundbreaking $13.5 million deal with Netflix for a seven-episode docuseries capturing the excitement, intensity, and faith-fueled passion of his first national tour.
The announcement comes just weeks after Roberts' debut single, "Heal," rocketed to #1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart, instantly establishing him as one of gospel music's brightest new voices.
The upcoming series will offer an all-access look into Roberts' post-Idol rise, as he balances the demands of national fame, life on the road, and his deep-rooted faith. Viewers can expect an inspiring blend of music, behind-the-scenes moments, and heartfelt reflection from an artist who has remained grounded in purpose.
Adding to his whirlwind year, Roberts will also join R&B superstars Brandy and Monica on their highly anticipated "The Boy Is Mine Tour" this fall, sharing the stage with other chart-topping artists including Kelly Rowland and Muni Long.
"This season of my life feels like a dream unfolding," Roberts shared. "I'm excited to show the world the power of God's healing through music-and this Netflix series is just the beginning."
The docuseries is expected to debut globally later this year.
