GTA 6 Release Date: Nothing Confirmed yet, Though Tentative Date for July 2017 as Speculated for Sixth Installment
The release date for the GTA 6 has not yet been confirmed though; there is a tentative date which has been set for July of 2017. Rockstar, the developer is on the job and is currently in the planning phase for the new game. According to the latest reports from Rockstar it seems that GTA 6 will go with the present format that includes multiple protagonists which seems to have been quite a success for the developer in the fifth installment of the franchise. GTA 5 was quite a success in the market and became the world's best selling game so one can only imagine that the next installment of the game is being made to follow through on the winning streak that the fifth version generated in the market.
The rumors about the new installment started recently, when GTA 5 announced plans to move the GTA 5 version to X Box One by the end of the year. They had a chance to squash the rumor right there and then but they did not also deny it. The rumors about the next installment of the game suggest about what context it would be set. For example there are some that argue GTA 6 will feature liberty city while others state that it will be in Vice City. There are others that also say that it could have multiple location al options.
Of course, a new title for the game has also been discussed; you would think the fans are designing the game. However, an employee of Rockstar allegedly said on Reddit to disregard everything that is set in stone about the upcoming game in terms of release date, plot or context. The developer has been quite busy between the release of GTA 5 and moving onto the online content version of the game, at least according to Rockstar Games president, North Leslie Benzies. Of course, though, where would the fun be in that? Speculation and supposed leaks should continue on GTA 6 probably until the E3 and Gamescom events preceding the release of the sixth installment in the franchise.
