Elias Dummer will be Releasing "Holy (Wedding Day)" with Abby Siler on Mar. 14

Juno and GMA Canada Covenant Award-winning singer/songwriter Elias Dummer will be releasing his new song "Holy (Wedding Day)" on March 14. You can pre-save it now here.
Dummer talks about the genesis of the song, "Years ago, my friends and I wrote Holy (Wedding Day)-a song about the moment everything finally changes for good.
"At the time, we were thinking in the theological abstract. Geeking out on the long-awaited wedding between Christ and His Church, the day when all is made new. What we didn't realize was how many actual wedding days this song would be part of. Over the years, I've heard from countless couples who walked down the aisle to this sermon-in-song, who stood before God and their people, making promises as the closing notes echoed in the hall. That's humbling.
"So I return to it with fresh ears, years of life lived, and the realization that at this point, more than the theology, it's the stubborn hope that carries it for me now. This new rendition, featuring the incredible Abby Siler, is simple, intimate, and true to the weight it carries."
Dummer co-founded and fronted one of Canada's most acclaimed worship bands, The City Harmonic. As the group's principal songwriter, he helped pen such hits as "Holy (Wedding Day)" and "Mountaintop," as well as "Manifesto," which served as the theme song for 2011's National Day of Prayer and was the walkup music for Major League Baseball player Seth Smith. The City Harmonic earned 12 GMA Canada Covenant Awards and a Juno Award (Canada's GRAMMY® equivalent), before disbanding in 2017.
Dummer released his solo debut, The Work Vol. I, in 2019 and was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2020 Covenant Awards. In addition, his debut single, "Enough," spent 26 weeks on Billboard's Christian Airplay chart. With more than 65 million lifetime streams to date, Dummer's music-both as a solo artist and with The City Harmonic-appeared on charts in more than 30 countries around the world in 2020 alone.
