Moto 360 Watch Release Date, Price, Specs And Rumors: The Moto 360 Is Rumored To Have Wireless Charging, Be Made Of Plastic And Water Resistant
A lot has been said about the Moto 360 release date, price, specs and rumors and we have more information on this. Motorola's new smartwatch may not be what people are imagining it to be.
According to TechWeb, a Chinese website, the Moto360 smartwatch will be made of plastic instead of metal contrary to what people currently believe. The silver body of the Moto 360 has a silver finish, but it is plastic and not metal. This means that the quality and design of the smartwatch is flattering to deceive.
It's also said that the Moto 360 smartwatch apparently has a wireless charging ability, but it is for a fact that for this feature to work, Motorola has to increase the thickness of this device to 13.5mm. When compared to the LG G watch and Samsung Gear Live that have 9.95 mm and 8.9 mm thickness respectively, it means that with a thickness of 13.5 mm, it will be very bulky as its competitors are lighter.
When it comes to the screen display, the Moto 360 smartwatch may take the lead as it has a screen display at 1.88 inches. Its competitors, the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live have 1.65 inches and 1.63 inches respectively. The Moto 360 has a slight edge on this. The Moto 360, like the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live will be running on Android wear operating system. It is rumored that the watch will be released in the summer but Motorola has not given an official announcement of the release date. It is also rumored that it might be released alongside the Moto X+1.
Since the smartwatch was announced earlier this year, it has received a lot of customer recognition, like no other smart watch has received before. This could mainly be a result of the Motorola's new round face. The fact that the Moto 360 will use plastic instead of metal may really hurt the customers. Reports say that the Moto 360 smartwatch will be water resistant and although there is no official announcement, Motorola casually hinted that it will go at an average retail value of $249. It is not clear the model the price is referenced to.
