Matthew West Starts Off the Year with “Don’t Stop Praying”
Matthew West kicks off the new year with the release of anthemic new track "Don't Stop Praying." Penned by West with Jeff Pardo, the inspiring new tune serves as a refreshing reminder to not lose faith and continue to turn to Jesus as we start the year.
"Every year I land on a personal theme that becomes a mission statement for my own faith journey," shares West. "This year's theme is don't stop praying."
West continues, "We've all been to a place where discouragement can make us wonder if God really hears our prayers. I wrote this song for anybody who's ever felt like giving up or losing their faith. I couldn't be more excited to start the new year off with this new song. I hope it encourages anyone who hears it to join me in a commitment to prayer in 2024. Pray for our families, for our friends, for our enemies, for our nation, for our world. God hears the prayers of his people, so don't stop praying."
"I hope when you hear this song you are reminded that God is listening when you call on His name," he wrote on Instagram. "The Bible says in James 5:16, 'The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.' Your Father is with you. He sees you and He hears you."
He's also getting ready for his "Don't Stop Praying" tour with Cochren & Co. "Join them for a fun night of faith, hope and encouragement on the 'Don't Stop Praying Tour," K-LOVE posted.
