Moto 360 Vs Samsung Gear 2: Comparison Of The Moto 360 Against Samsung's Galaxy Gear 2
Although Moto 360 has not yet been released, it is already being compared to the lately released Samsung Galaxy Gear 2. Moto 360 has attracted a lot of attention due to its round shape which is very unusual in the market. As it is, Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 is already facing a lot of competition from Moto 360.
The features already disclosed about the Moto 360 are taking the smartwatch field to a whole new level. As for the Galaxy Gear 2, it has most of the features in a smartphone as it has the capability to take photos and make phone calls as any smartphone would. However, the device has additional features like a padometer, heart rate monitor and several other exercise models.
The Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 smart watch comes in the normal rectangular face as all the other smartwatches while the Moto 360 smartwatch comes in a round face, which is completely new in the market. Moreover, Motorola will use Sapphire glass, in place of the Gorilla glass which is commonly used. The Sapphire glass is four times stronger. This move protects the watch from scratches and definitely increases the price.
One other difference between the two smartwatches is the operating system used. Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 uses the Trizen OS to replace Samsung's older version of Android, but it functions in the same way. It is said the Moto 360 will use Android as its operating system. The Moto 360 will have a wireless charging system which is not in many smartwatches.
Most of the specs of Moto 360 have not been revealed and we are not sure whether it will surpass the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 but in terms of the features, the Moto 360 has a lot to offer. It is evident that in the world of smartwatches, the Moto 360 has brought in a lot of challenge to the rest and competition too. It is rumored that other smartwatches will have a long way to go so that they can finally reach the Moto 360's level.
The differences are many but the decision on which is better of the two is upon you.
