'The Vampire Diaries' Season 6 CW Release Date, Spoilers and Cast Rumors & Hilarious New Trailer Revealed at 2014 Comic-Con, Watch Here (VIDEO)
"The Vampire Diaries" cast was on hand for Comic-Con 2014 and gave fans some teasers for Season 6 along with many laughs. The panel opened with a hilarious new trailer, leaving the two stars (Bonnie & Damon) questioning whether or not they were killed off the show for the fifth season finale (watch video above).
The cast present for the panel Saturday were Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Matthew Davis. They revealed that Season 6 will kick-off four months after the finale, showing all the characters getting over the finale's events in different ways.
When asked about the fate of Bonnie and Damon, Kat shared: "I would definitely say you'll see more interaction between them."
"Right now the love between Damon and Elena is so strong," Producer Julie Plec said on Stefan and Elena getting back together, "And the friendship between Stefan and Elena has grown strong."
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 premieres Thursday, October 2nd at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) were in trouble as last season ended with Bonnie following Damon to the Other Side.
Holding hands, Bonnie asked Damon, "Do you think it'll hurt," before oblivion began to consume them during the season five finale.
Bonnie will return according to actress Kat Graham herself saying, "She is [back next season]," to TVLine. "But I don't know in what form or for how long," Graham teasingly added before noting she was "just as shocked as the next person" at how season five ended. I've been on the show for five years, and I cried when I watched the finale."
Somerhalder, who plays Damon drove fans crazy writing, "Rest in Peace Damon Salvatore. #GameOver : (," on Instagram beside photo of a tombstone reading "Damon" in an eerie graveyard. Was he foretelling Season 6 or just messing with fans? Many think he was just trying to create false spoilers.
Stefan on "The Vampire Diaries", played by Paul Wesley, revealed recently that the new season would "reset" the story.
"[The season five finale] definitely establishes new parameters in the environment we'll be shooting in season six," Wesley told TVGuide. "They reset things in a way, and the writers have the ability to now change the circumstances and locations of where the show takes place."
