'Family Guy' & 'The Simpsons' 5 Minute Preview Clip of Upcoming FOX 'Crossover' Episode 2014, Watch Here (VIDEO)
At the 2014 Comic-Con convention in San Diego, FOX released a five minute clip of the highly anticipated "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons" crossover episode which is set to air in September. You can check out the clip above.
They also plan to introduce a number of supporting characters from "The Cleveland Show" onto "Family Guy" since the spinoff's cancellation. "That's the best part about animation - even though that show went away, we can bring all those characters back to our show," Callaghan noted.
They teased some promo photos in May and now fans of the shows get to see the characters actually interacting with each other. The crossover episode will air on FOX on September 28th as the premiere episode for Season 26 of "The Simpsons".
"Simpsons" Season 26 Plot: In this season, Krusty the Clown plans to retire (Clown in the Dumps); Homer and Bart attempt to solve some father/son conflicts; Marge opens a sandwich franchise (Super Franchise Me); Mr. Burns finds a girlfriend in Democratic Assemblywoman Maxine Lombard (guest voice Jane Fonda; The Wreck of the Relationship); Bart schemes to bring down his new teacher, Mr. Lassen (guest voice Willem Dafoe), who is a terrible bully; Homer has a mid-life crisis; and the cast of Futurama will make an appearance in Springfield in a crossover episode (Simpsorama). Additional guest voices for this season will include Nick Offerman, David Hyde Pierce, Jeff Ross and Matthew Sweet.
"Family Guy" has been teasing the idea of a feature-length movie for a few years now when creator Seth MacFarlane revealed he had begun the work on a script. Since the success of "The Simpsons" movie, MacFarlane's has noted that even though he has a busy schedule, the movie will will happen someday.
You can catch the "Family Guy" one-hour crossover special, "The Simpsons Guy," on Sept. 28 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
