Darlene Zschech Celebrates 12 Years as Senior Pastor of HopeUC After Leaving Hillsong Church

Australian worship leader and pastor Darlene Zschech celebrates 12 years since she and her husband Mark became senior pastors of HopeUC in Central Coast, NSW in Australia. Prior to being the senior pastor, Zschech served as the worship pastor of Hillsong Church for many years. Under her watch at Hillsong, the Australian worship team released classics such as "Shout to the Lord," "God is Able," "Mighty to Save," "Still," "Worthy is the Lamb," and many others.
Zschech writes, "12 years in.. and we are still filled with HOPE, despite the journey being terribly hard and absolutely wonderful at the same time. NT Wright said '`Without God's Spirit, there is nothing we can do that will count for God's kingdom. Without God's Spirit, the church simply can't be the church. God is the one who satisfies the passion for justice, the longing for spirituality, the hunger for relationship, the yearning for beauty.'
"And so we will continue, as the call of God pursues our hearts to pursue His, and as we walk this mission out with the most amazing team and our ever patient and loving family. Thankyou @hopeuc ... our hearts are ever thankful, prayerful and humbled by your love and faithful followship of Jesus."
Darlene and Mark live in the beautiful Central Coast of New South Wales with their family Amy and son-in-law Andrew, Chloe and son-in-law Hosanna, Zoe Jewel, and beautiful granddaughters Ava Pearl, Ruthie Feather, Thea Mae and grandson Roman Emmanuel Mark. While they travel extensively and have the honour of working and ministering alongside amazing friends around the globe, the family remains Darlene's highest priority. Darlene says, "First and foremost I am a woman who simply and wholeheartedly loves Christ, and serves Him through loving my family, serving the church, and speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves."
