Nvidia Tegra K1 Release Date: the Battle Between Snapdragon 805 and Nvidia Tegra K1 Begins for Market Control
For the longest time, Snapdragon 805 has held the monopoly of being the processor for the high end mobile devices. This is not the case anymore. Introducing the Nvidia Tegra K1. This is set to be the processor of the first tablet from what is called the 'Apple of China'. The tablet is known as the Xiaomi Mi Pad and is the first of its kind. As such, you can be sure that the Nvidia Tegra K1 is the fastest chipset for mobile devices. The release into the American market has been pegged for the fall of this year. The competition will be on between the Snapdragon 805 and Nvidia Tegra K1 for market.
On other hand, it could all be a marketing game that determines who wins out between Snapdragon and Tegra. Nvidia Tegra K1 has a long way to go if it wants to beat Snapdragon as Samsungs choice including removing the comfortability of familiarity that has been built between producer, vendor and the consumer. Similarly, these are highly specific specs that most clients are not aware of. There is a very clear difference between the two capabilities however, if it means there will be a higher price for the Nvidia Tegra K1 it could lose clients because people might just by the Samsung product because it has the reliable logo, while for all we know, the device has the cheapest processor out there. As such, it would be better for Nvidia if they were to market their products a bit more in the market.
The trouble with their fan base is that it is mostly for PC gamers. However, with the release of the new processor it is time to diversify out of just tablets for the Chinese market but also within the United States. Not to say that the Chinese do not have a stable market. As a matter fact, Xiaomi the innovator of the tablet that is now the worlds fastest phone, are one of the world's largest Smartphone vendors. Therefore, their market capital is also quite something.
