Here Are the Lyrics & Audio of Matthew West and Anne Wilson's "Me On Your Mind"
Four-time GRAMMY® nominee, American Music Award winner, and GMA Dove Award winner Matthew West has teamed up with Anne Wilson for their brand new song "Me On Your Mind." A re-telling of Jesus' parable about the prodigal son, this new song presents the love of Christ in a refeshing way.
West and Wilson reveal, "The two of us wrote this song with our friend Jeff Pardo! We've been writing music together for quite a while now, but never actually got the chance to release one of our songs together, until now."
[Verse 1: Matthew West]
I've read the words in red
How You leave the ninety-nine
To find the one missing, feels like that was written
With me on Your mind
[Verse 2: Matthew West & Anne Wilson]
And the prodigal son who ran
Leaving his home behind
The part where the father came running to meet him
Did You say that with me on Your mind?
[Chorus: Matthew West & Anne Wilson]
Who am I that the King of the world
Would give one single thought about my broken heart?
Who am I that the God of all grace
Wipes the tears from my face and says, "Come as you are"?
You paid the price, You took the cross
You gave Your life and You did it all
With me on Your mind (Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh)
Me on Your mind (Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh)
[Verse 3: Anne Wilson]
Just knowin' You're mindful of me
Just knowin' You call me Your child
It's floodin' my soul with unspeakable hope
Thank You, Lord, that it's me on Your mind
[Chorus: Matthew West, Anne Wilson & Both]
Who am I that the King of the world
Would give one single thought about my broken heart?
Who am I that the God of all grace
Wipes the tears from my face and says, "Come as you are"?
You paid the price, You took the cross
You gave Your life and You did it all
With me on Your mind (Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh)
There was me on Your mind, me on Your mind (Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh)
Oh-oh (Hallelujah)
Thank You, Jesus, thank You, Jesus (Hallelujah)
Lord, it was me on Your mind (Oh, oh-oh)
[Verse 4: Matthew West, Matthew West & Anne Wilson]
I've read the words in red
Of a Heavenly home on high
You're preparin' a place where the sorrow's erased
And when I stand before You, I'll find
All along, it was me on Your mind
[Chorus: Matthew West, Anne Wilson & Both]
Who am I that the King of the world (Oh-oh)
Would give one single thought about my broken heart? (My broken heart)
And who am I that the God of all grace (Oh)
Wipes the tears from my face and says, "Come as you are"?
You paid the price (Oh, You paid it), You took the cross (Oh, You took it)
You gave Your life (Oh, You gave it) and You did it all
With me on Your mind, it was me on Your mind (Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh)
With me on Your mind, with me on Your mind (Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh)
Woah, oh-oh-oh-oh, oh
It was me on Your mind (On Your mind)
