Tauren Wells Recalls Teaming Up with Aaron Cole to Record "Fake It"
Ten-time Grammy Award nominee Tauren Wells teams up with Aaron Cole for the new single "Fake It." Written by Wells, Cole, and Chris Stevens, the song was produced the track with Tedd T. and Emily Weisband. "Fake It" speaks about how we need to allow God to change us so that we son't have to "fake it" when it comes to talking about him.
Oh, You're changin' my attitude
Your love is a whole new mood
Somethin' I can put my faith in (Oh)
Oh-ooh, You struck a match in the dark
You're meltin' my plastic heart
This is real, don't have to fake it
Oh, You're changin' my attitude
Your love is a whole new mood
Somethin' I can put my faith in
Oh-ooh, You struck a match in the dark
You're meltin' my plastic heart
This is real, don't have to fake it
Wells recalls the day they wrote "Fake It." "Writing this song was one of the funnest days I've ever had in the studio," Wells remembers. "I remember that we were all talking about some of the life stuff we were all dealing with and pushing through and then Chris turned on the beginning of this track and it was like a joy bomb went off in the room! The lyric and melody came easy because it's honest, true and FUN."
Wells continues to invite fans to pray for his music. "Since my first song came out almost 6 years ago I've asked my family, friends, and fans to pray over my music. Here I am again today asking for your prayers. I have witnessed the power of God through songs first hand and I'm sure you have to."
"Although the season is changing in my life, ministry and professionally, my prayer isn't...that God would use these melodies, lyrics, and rhythms to encourage, uplift, and bring joy to you and others all over the world. The ultimate aim for this song and the album to follow is to lift the name of Jesus. Annnnnnddddd we're gonna have a party while we do it."
Wells, who has toured with such iconic artists as Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey, recently wrapped up the sold-out, 23-city "Citizen of Heaven" tour. celebrated recording artist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter has amassed over one billion combined global streams and 225 million video views in his career to date, charted six No. 1 radio singles and received 10 GRAMMY® Award nominations.
