LTE Capable Galaxy S5 Launch In India: India To Get An LTE Capable Galaxy S5 From Samsung
We are sure that you have been waiting eagerly for the new LTE capable Galaxy S5 in India. Well, it seems like your wait will soon be over as Samsung is planning to launch an LTE capable Galaxy S5. Now, in India Samsung's Galaxy S5 phones have lacked any type of LTE support mainly because Samsung used their in house Exynos processors in the devices instead of using Qualcomm's LTE capable Snapdragon chip. Well, it seems like Samsung is soon going to join the other manufactures who have already launched smartphones that support India's moderately small LTE market.
It was recently reported that Samsung will launch a new SM-G9001 model device which will be a Galaxy S5 model with a Snapdragon 801 CPU on board. The CPU is also said to have an LTE modem that will be in the phone making it possible for customers to pick between 3G and 4G options if they decide to go with the Samsung devices.
Apart from the new processor all the other specs of the phone appear like they will still be the same without any changes. This includes 2GB of RAM, a 1080p screen and all the features that we are all used to from Samsung TouchWiz.
The phone's cost is expected to be about $930 instead of $660 that the 3G model costs currently. The 3G model was of course more expensive when it launched but it has gradually been dropping over the months so we think that the LTE Galaxy S5 will also drop with time.
