Exclusive Song Premiere: The Inspirations' "Reunion in Heaven"
The Inspirations, one of Gospel music's longest standing quartet, are releasing their brand new album What a Wonderful World LIVE on April 2. This will be their 20th album with Horizon Records and their 73rd album since 1964. We are extremely honored to be able to premiere one of the leading tracks from this much anictipated album. "Reunion in Heaven" is not only the opening track on the record, it is also the Inspirations' tribute to Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, who first recorded this tune.
Roland Kesterson has this to say about "Reunion in Heaven:" The song was first recorded in 1967 and has always been an identifying song with the group. Fans have always loved 'Reunion In Heaven.' When we were picking songs to bring back and start staging again, we knew that this song had to be one of them. Since it was first recorded, the song has blessed hearts now for 54 years and we're excited to see the Lord continuing to use it."
Listen to the song HERE.
The album was recorded during the pandemic with Roland Kesterson, lead vocal; Isaac Moore, tenor vocal; Wyatt Austin, bass vocal; and Luke Vaught, baritone vocal and keyboard. Recorded at the 2020 National Quartet Convention's Fall Festival in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, this album takes listeners on a 25-minute musical journey through The Inspirations' storied career.
"To say 2020 was an unusual year is probably an understatement," say The Inspirations. "But the young guys, Roland, Luke, Wyatt and Isaac, were eager to get out and sing at venues asking for The Inspirations. The guys did such a wonderful job representing our Lord and The Inspirations heritage we felt the need to capture it on a recording. Thank you to all the supporters that have prayed and encouraged us through this unusual year. We look forward to getting ALL of the guys back out on the road singing and sharing the good news!"
The album is now available for pre-order, add and save ahead of its April 2 release.
