Ginny Owens Releases Encouraging New Song "My Future"
Ginny Owens has released her new single "My Future." In these uncertain times, "My Future" echos the Christian hope that though we do not know what tomorrow holds, we know the hands that hold tomorrow. This simple and eloquent declaration of faith and trust will inspire the prayers of many with peace and strength.
Owens writes: "My friends Tyrus, Lauren, and I began writing this song, inspired by the ways God was teaching each of us to find hope in the midst of our anxiety. I had no idea that by the time we released it, most people would be feeling pretty anxious and looking for hope.
During this time, I have found so much hope in the words of Jesus: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world." (Jn. 16:33B)
If Jesus loved us enough to overcome the world for us, then I know we can trust Him in these difficult times, even when we don't understand. I pray you sense His peace today."
Ginny Owens became a household name as the Gospel Music Association's 2000 New Artist of the Year. Growing in notoriety as both a singer and a songwriter, winning 3 Dove awards and multiple ASCAP Awards along the way, Owens has sold over a million records over the course of her career. A top performer on the Christian radio charts with hits like "If You Want Me To," "Free" and "I Wanna Be Moved" among others, Owens has released no less than 11 full albums and 3 EPs, and her music has also impacted mainstream audiences at Lilith Fair, the Sundance Film Festival and the White House.
