Mad Max: Fury Road Movie Review and Cast Spoilers: Star Studded with Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy
The Dark Knight Rises actor Tom Hardy is set to star in Mad Max: Fury Road, an upcoming Australian futuristic movie produced and co - written by George Miller (Babe, Happy Feet). The post - apocalyptic film will be the fourth in Miller's Mad Max franchise, and a first project with the English actor.
Other notable well - known and notable cast members include Charlize Theron (Snow White and the Huntsman), Nicholas Hoult (Warm Bodies, X-Men First Class), Zoë Kravitz (X-Men First Class), as well as Australian fashion model and on - screen newcomer Abbey Lee. The movie, which was already shot nearly three years ago and has been in production for nearly five years, is set to be released in summer 2015.
Set in a dark desert landscape at the furthest places of post-apocalyptic Earth, "where humanity is broken" and every single human is fighting for his own life and for the basic necessities just to get by and see the daylight, the film tells the story of Max, the titular character (played by Hardy), who just wants to find some peace of mind in this quiet part of Earth in the aftermath of the death of his wife and child due to the terrible and tumultuous chaos that has left everyone hanging on to dear life. Then enters Furiosa (Theron), a woman of action and risks, who just wants to survive and get across the desert - and danger - back to her homeland. Within this dangerous world of doing anything to ensure one's own survival, what will these two rebels face, and might they just be what the world needs for order to once again be restored?
Only one way to find out. Catch Mad Max: Fury Road in theaters in summer 2015.
