Season 3 of "House of Cards" to Debut on Netflix in February 2015
Netflix has struck pure gold with their exclusive series, which include Hemlock Grove, Orange is the New Black, and the ever-popular and highly anticipated House of Cards. Undoubtedly one of the best things about these series are that all episodes of a season are released at the same time, leading to an undeniable trend called "binge-watching" among dedicated users. It is these loyal fans who now ask what we all must be wondering: "Where is season three of House of Cards, and what is going to happen next?!"
We received our definitive answer on July 3. The third season is set to hit Netflix in February 2015, which would put it right around the year mark from the end of season 2. This follows the trend of fellow Netflix favorite Orange is the New Black, whose first and second season were about eleven months apart.
Details about the third season are being kept tightly under wraps. The show's writer, Beau Willimon, tweeted a mysterious picture from the first day of shooting, revealing no actors, sets...nothing. We received only the silhouettes of a set being arranged by crew members. We can only speculate that the mystery is due to a desire for fan frenzy leading up to the release of the third season. However, who can say that the excitement will not peter out before then if fans are not given something to stem their anxieties?
The only other tidbit we have received is that the film crew was recently denied access to shoot in the UN building, due to Russia's disapproval of the use of the UN headquarters for that purpose. This has only been cause for hilarity among fans of the show, and inspired even more speculation about the events of season 3.
