Paul Walker (Fast & Furious) Remembered by Jessica Alba Who Co-Starred 'In the Blue' Together
Paul Walker has been remembered by many peers in last several months since his tragic death and Jessica Alba is the latest to share her memories about the Fast & Furious star. Alba spoke to GQ recently about Walker who co-starred with Alba in the the 2005 movie Into the Blue. She described her co-star as being full of "respect and love".
Alba shared, "He had a real childlike innocence and he was game to try anything or do anything. He treated everyone with respect and love. He was never treating anybody differently because of who they were. He was really a guy's guy. And loved his daughter so much and talked about her all the time." Alba added, "He never cared about Hollywood. He never cared about the hype."
Walker died on Nov. 30 in Santa Clarita, Southern California in a tragic car accident while the cast and crew were on a hiatus period. His shocking death has sent shockwaves through Hollywood. He was 40 years old.
Fast & Furious 7 co-star Vin Disel has been the most vocal cast mate of Walker's since his death. Diesel went to Facebook on June 17 to write this post:
"There wasn't a scene in the saga he didn't want to discuss, improve... even with just a changing of a line or adding a specific nuance to enrich a moment," Diesel wrote. "Those work ethics and drive to be both truthful, and in his own way, evolve the decade spanning character is what made his character as iconic as it has become."
"He always knew I would fight for him... whether it was to protect his deal or to protect his integrity... and he knew that if it made for a better film, I was going to do whatever it took," Diesel said. "With our new ambitious vfx team, the whole cast and crew has had to adjust to this awkward and uncomfortable process of pixels over people. Aside from the obvious strains it places on the director, the challenge is not to allow it to compromise what makes the character so special."
Paul Walker and Vin Diesel joined forces for the first time in The Fast and the Furious. The original film, released in 2001, grossed over $200m on a budget of $38m and launched a blockbuster action franchise. Fast and Furious 7 is scheduled to hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
