Debby Mendoza Releases Her Debut Homegrown Worship Single "My Protector"
Debby Mendoza releases her debut single with Homegrown Worship. "My Protector" draws upon influences from some of the biggest names in contemporary pop, such as Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake and Corinne Bailey Rae.
Pulsating beats, chiming-pop piano, and creamy Ellie Goulding style BVs, dance together to create a tantalizing, memorable track that stands up to her contemporaries, shining bright with a hopeful message for those in need of God's protecting, guiding hand.
Debby Mendoza was born in Ecuador, South America, but was raised and lives in London. She grew up listening to RnB, Pop, and Gospel music, influenced and looking up to an array of artists including Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Stacie Orrico, Corinne Bailey Rae, Tori Kelly, Justin Timberlake... 'basically "old school" music', as Debby puts it. She studied music at college and at ICMP, where she spent time writing and crafting songs. Her aim is to write songs that inspire and bring people closer to who God is.
