Glee Season 6: The Final Season, A Farewell to the ‘New Directions’

Glee Season 6: The Final Season, A Farewell to the 'New Directions'
"The final season is its own story in its own location," said Glee creator Ryan Murphy during part of his TVLine interview. Though the last seven episodes of Season 5 were set in New York City, he said, "The final season is not New York-centric at all. It really is a lovely, fitting season that dwells on the original people on the show and what happens to them and how they gave back. That really is the last season....It's a really interesting, very sweet satisfying ending to the story."
So if the farewell season will be dwelling on the original people on the show, will that mean we'll get to see for one last time Mr. Will "Schue" Schuester (Matthew Morrison) and his wife Terri (Jessalyn Gilsig), coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), and guidance counsellor Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) back in McKinley High School? Will we get to see the original members of New Directions, the school's glee club - Rachel (Lea Michele), Kurt (Chris Colfer), Artie ( Kevin McHale), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), Quinn (Dianna Aragon), Mercedes (Amber Riley), and Puck (Mark Salling) - do their farewell performance as a group for the fans? We'll know for sure come early 2015 when Glee returns. Sadly, we already know that Finn (Cory Monteith) won't be there with them.
The final scene for the final episode of the final season will involve some dramatic moments between Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison. "It's about Rachel and Mr. Schue," revealed Murphy, "and it returns them to their origins, their roots, how they felt about each other when they were much younger and everything was idyllic. I think the ending has to be a reflection and a celebration of how far all those characters have come."
