Channing Tatum New Movie 2014 'Foxcatcher' with Steve Carell, Watch New Intense Trailer (VIDEO)
Channing Tatum get intense in the latest trailer for his new movie Foxcatcher with Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo based on the true story of Olympic Wrestling Champion Mark Schultz. You can watch the trailer above, where Tatum smashes his head into a mirror.
Plot: Mark Schultz (Tatum), despite having won a gold medal for wrestling at the 1984 Olympics, lives in the shadow of his accomplished older brother, Dave (Ruffalo). Mark seems to have found his own path when multimillionaire John E. du Pont (Carell) invites Mark to train as part of a national U.S. wrestling team preparing for the 1988 Olympics in Seoul. Du Pont's training is relentless and his philosophy strident, but Mark wants to please him nonetheless. But when Dave arrives to much fanfare to join Team Foxcatcher, Mark finds himself relegated to the shadows once again, while DuPont begins to unravel. Based on a true story.
Foxcatcher also stars Vanessa Redgrave and Sienna Miller and was directed by Bennett Miller. The film is set to hit theaters on November 14th.
Critics at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year praised Tatum's performance as well as that of Mark Ruffalo as Dave Schultz and Steve Carell, transformed by prosthetics, as du Pont. Carell is already considered an early Oscar favorite for his first dramatic movie role.
Filming began in October 2012 in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, near Sewickley, Pennsylvania, including Sewickley Heights and Edgeworth. An 1899 Sewickley Heights mansion, Wilpen Hall, served as the location for du Pont's Philadelphia estate, named Foxcatcher Farm. Filming also took place in Rector in Ligonier Township, McKeesport, White Oak, and Connoquenessing.[8][9][10] The production sought permission to shoot in West Mifflin Middle School in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. In December 2012, shooting took place in Washington, Pennsylvania, Trinity High School, the Petersen Events Center in Oakland, and the California University of Pennsylvania Convocation Center. Filming was scheduled to last through January 2013. Exterior scenes were also filmed at Morven Park, an estate in Leesburg, Virginia.
