Lincoln Brewster Will be Back with “Oxygen”

After 15 years with Integrity Music, Lincoln Brewster has renewed his contract with the worship music imprint for the release of his August 19 "Oxygen." Co-produced by Brewster and Colby Wedgeworth, "Oxygen" boasts a collection of all new worship songs written by Brewster himself.
Excited about the release, President of Integrity Music, C. Ryan Dunham has this to say: "I am honored to announce that after 15 years, Integrity Music will continue to serve as the music partner for Lincoln Brewster and his ministry going forward. I have had the privilege of getting to know Lincoln and his wife Laura on a personal level and love their heart, their passion for serving and their dedication to their local church. It is a privilege to come alongside an artist like Lincoln, who has such incredible talent that he is choosing to use for God's glory."
Music has always been in Brewster's blood. Ever since he was a young lad, he would "sit in" on rehearsals with his mother as she played with local bands in their hometown of Homer, Alaska. By age five, Brewster was playing the mandolin and by age nine, he had picked up the electric guitar. That love for music took him down a winding road that included a season playing for rocker Steve Perry (Journey) and recording offers from mainstream labels all before he was 21.
When Brewster was a teenager, he gave his life to Christ and walked away from rock n' roll and its ensuing promise of stardom. He later took on the position of as a sound technician at a local church. Later, he became involved in Integrity Music's "Hosanna" series. In a time when worship music was still a niche in the music scene, Brewster's guitar skills allowed him to reach a larger audience. Radio began playing his songs such as "Take Me Higher" and "Lord I Lift Your Name on High" from his Integrity Music self-titled 1999 album. Later, it was Brewster who paved the way for Darlene Zschech and Hillsong Live, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and many others.
